Obituary

Milford Ezekial Watson, 87, of Easley, SC went home to his Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Born in Jackson County, NC a son of the late Binam Lloyd and Celia Brown Watson. Although born in Tuckaseegee NC, Milford spent most of his 87 years in Pickens County working in the Logging Industry for over 50 years.

Milford was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Betty Sue Barkley Watson; his two sons, Robin Lynn Watson and Bradley (Brad) Scott Watson, of Easley; his two brothers, Cleo (Lonnie Lee) Watson and Norman Watson; and his sister, Mary Ressie Watson Bowen all from Pickens County.

Milford is survived by his daughter, Tammy Watson (Jim) Head of Easley; his sister, Mildred Watson Smith of Jefferson, Georgia; and his very special friend, Betty Carpenter of Easley. He was blessed to be Papa to three grandchildren, Nathan (Angie) Gilstrap; Nicole (Adam) Davis; and Casey Watson. He was even more blessed to be Pappy to his great grandchildren, Colt & Avery Davis; Mark, Katie & Cassie Dorr; and Destiny & Bradley Gillespie.

Milford worshipped his Lord with his New Image Church family in Easley for as long as his health would allow. He never missed an opportunity to invite you to his church and to tell you how good his God was.

Due to the health epidemic and restrictions, the family chose to have a private burial at the time of his going home; BUT plans to have a celebration of Milford's life after this mess is over. The location will be at New Image Church, but date and time as of now cannot be planned. The family will update and post on Facebook when plans are made.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations in Milford Watson's memory be made to The Alzheimer's Society for research, or to his church New Image Church.

The family would like to express gratitude and a thank you that is so heartfelt we could never ever repay to Interim Hospice for their knowledge, kindness and caring ways that went way beyond just a job to them. They truly are the hands and feet and show the heart of Jesus to people like Milford's family who are battle weary from fighting the disease and just want to have answers and hope. These caring people gave us both. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
