Tribute & Message From The Family

Joshua John Naylor, 32, passed away surrounded by his family Friday, August 6, 2021. Joshua was born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England on August 22nd, 1988, the son of and Diane Naylor and Kevin Mark Naylor.

Joshua graduated from D.W. Daniel High School in 2006 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University in 2014. He spent eleven years at Pixie and Bills and four years bartending at Tiger Town Tavern and Top of the Tavern. After graduation Joshua worked for Rolls Royce in Pittsburgh and most recently worked at Oconee Nuclear Power station.

Joshua known as to all as 'Josh' was very passionate about his job as a nuclear engineer and could spend hours talking about nuclear science. Joshua loved to explore and has travelled the world extensively to places such as Italy, Egypt, China, and South Africa. Joshua loved his collection of historical artifacts and various Clemson collectables and proudly showed them to all who visited his home.

Joshua was a high school varsity football player and was fanatical about Clemson football.

Joshua loved to fly and became a licensed pilot at 19. He was a tremendous cook and enjoyed nothing better than going shooting with his close friends.
Joshua will always be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He was a great conversationalist and was quick at making friends with anyone he met. Joshua was generous to a fault, always kept in contact with his family and friends and deeply cared for those he loved.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Diane and Mark, a younger brother Jacob, his grandmother Evelyn, aunt and uncles Karen, Mark, Paul, and Roger, his cousins and family in England and Canada, Bertie the cat, and his god children Ella, Audrey, and Hunter. He is predeceased by Sheila Parkin, Roger Parkin, John Naylor, and his beloved dog Scruffy.

The family will receive friends at 1PM Wednesday, August 11, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC. The memorial service follows at 2.00 PM. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
