Condolence & Memory Journal

Lee, I am very sorry about your Mom's passing and want to express my sincere sympathy to you and your family. Recently I witnessed how sad it was for our daughter to lose her Mom, my precious Ginny, and I understand your grief. Please know that your faith, family and friends will help you through this difficult time and the beautiful memories you have will give you support.
I met your parents when they moved to Clemson for your Dad to enter graduate school and worked with your Dad in the Entomology Department. Over the years I witnessed the love they had for each other and the love they had for you.

Lee, Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have many great memories of your Mom while I was in the Girl Scouts. I remember the meetings held at the Six Mile Fire Department and being in the Six Mile Christmas Parade! She had a great sense of humor and loved everyone. God Bless you and your family.

Lee, so very sorry to learn of the recent passing of your mom. She was a wonderful person, devoted mother and wife. I also was told of the passing of your father. My first employment at Clemson University was an Administrative Assistant to Dr. Kissam. I had the highest regards for him. He reminded me of my own father who served in the Army for 20 years. The other secretaries were a little scared of him when he walked into the secretaries' office with that serious look on his face. I use to laugh until they got to know him. Working with your dad was the best job I ever had. I learned a lot from him and the PCO Conferences. Your parents were so devoted to each other and admired and loved by many people. They are missed. Please accept my condolences on your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Our paths have crossed a number of times most recently as neighbors at Clemson Downs and always found them to be good company. My wife was also in the University Woman's Club with Pat and enjoyed being with her in Bowling events. Ben was known for his delicious Apple crop in former years and we remember both of them fondly. Our condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I got to know her through the Clemson Assn. of Retired Extension Employees, and she & Ben rode with my husband and me to several events. They were interesting and knowledgeable folks to talk to and know. She was a wonderful lady and devoted to Ben and her family. Please accept my condolences on your loss. I hope she & Ben are reunited now forever. Mary Harvey
