My deepest sympathies to you. I served with Douglas at Fort Hood. He was on the Quick Reaction Force team for a while and proved himself to be a much valued member of our team. Douglas was a fine soldier. We was always up for a challenge. He was one of the finest soldiers I ever had known. It was an honor to serve with him. It pains me to think that he is now gone. I remember lots of conversations about politics, home, and his love of sports. I hope that this has found you well. I will always remember Specialist Douglas Barnett.
